LOCAL CUISINE

After a fun day outdoors enjoying nature, what better way to top it all off with the pleasures good food and Lodè hospitality  Our local foods, tasty and genuine, reflect this area’s ancient traditions. Basically a farming diet this mountain cuisine has been handed down through generations. Though peculiar in some ways it is simple and  genuine based on products of the land, of sheep herding with the rigorous use of local ingredients. The meat, cheese and bread stand out for their quality. Succulent piglet cooked on a skewer, savory lamb prepared according to local customs and recipes, the genuine cheese produced from uncontaminated herds and “pane carasatu” (typical local bread) still baked the old fashioned way. But as often happens good food goes hand in hand with good wine, and so… the flavors of the mountain are enhanced by a good glass of local wine. To top everything off a sip of “filu ‘e ferru (the famous local “firewater”) or of irresistible “mirto”.

 

Within our refuge in a warm and welcoming, we have several rooms that can accommodate small and large groups up to 100 people.

Ham, sausage, bacon, toast with cream cheese and olives, mixed cheese, pickles local, mixed grilled vegetables, dry Ricotta, Ricotta tinged "abathu, Mushrooms, Sweet and Sour Chicken Livers, Cordedda and tripe with green peas, Chickpea stew with bacon, black pudding of sheep or lamb, wild boar stew with olives

The cost of the menu is 30 euros for adults and 15 euros for children up to 12 years.



The menu may vary according to seasonal availability of products.
