SCHOOL PROJECT” is a one of the services Cooperativa Montalbo Escursiond.takes most pride in. We have dedicated care and energy to this project. Primary, middle and high school teachers can choose among various offers for a different kind of school trip, with integrated didactic activities. Students can learn new eating habits linked to tradition, to the environment and to local culture. They can explore the environment first hand, get in touch with nature, become ecologically aware, learn teamwork, get to know themselves better, learn to judge themselves, to work and sweat while respecting values, relationships and sensations for an feeling of well-being. Statistics show that kids today know practically nothing about agriculture: they don’t know bread is made from wheat, that milk comes from cows, sheep or goats (some believe milk is created in a bottle), they don’t know “polenta” come from maize and generally believe that food is produced by machines and not derived from nature. Hence SCHOOL PROJECTS was almost a must, it is aimed at various types of associations (schools, the handicapped, senior citizens, summer camps…) to discover and experience life in the rural areas.
